Zydeco Force was originally formed by Robby "Mann" Robinson in 1988. After touring the "zydeco circui,t" the group reached a level of success that includes five CDs, commercials (radio and television), a movie score, a number of documentaries (HBO) and an interview and performance with Good Morning America. They were the innovators of changes in zydeco music that were and still are accepted by all true zydeco fans.
In the early 90s, the band broke up. Zydeco Force reunited for the new millennium as Robby and Jeffery, the band’s accordionist, went to the drawing board to redesign the group's format. Zydeco Force has been long credited as one of the innovators in Zydeco music. Their music is traditional music brought up to date, delivered with a style that pleases all generations of Zydeco fans.
The band is currently promoting their latest CD LA Chicken Shack which prominently features young Guyland Ledet. Although still a young boy, Guyland has shown the skill of a seasoned veteran, wowing crowds with his accordion virtuosity.
